New Job & OOTD

Firstly an apology- for how long it's been since I've last blogged. I always have good intentions but always seem to be too busy- and of course my paid work has to come first! But now I am back home I really DO hope to blog more- as I have much more free time since I am working less hours, and can get good quality pictures in the garden instead of the awful ones I've gathered in bad lighting in all my student houses! They were simply not worth blogging and I blame that partly on my absence.

As many of you know - I've also been making and selling jewellery in my spare time which I am loving doing! You can find me on Etsy if you search WanderduskJewellery, or you can buy through the Depop app if you search me: @beckywecky22. As per usual- I am crazily busy, and have soooo much still to make. I have so many pendants that no one has yet seen! Hopefully tomorrow I will have time in the day to make some bits before work in the evening.

It's been a whirlwind month. I have gone from living with friends, working in Southampton, to moving back home and working as a Visual Merchandiser for the Flagship New Look on Oxford Street within a matter of 3 weeks. I had been a bit fed up and have been missing home for a while after I finished uni anyway- but then this amazing job opportunity came along! Sometimes things are just meant to be. So as of the last week- I have been living back home with my mum and commuting from near Reading!

I have been in two days and already love it- it's nice to finally have someone recognize what you are good at, considering studying styling and advertising is what I have done for three years, and I have worked in retail for over 7! Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly- I was so sad to leave all my lovely New Lookers in West Quay. I have felt a bit trodden on for a while and knew I had to push myself further rather than sitting comfortably with my degree. So I am glad- and with my jewellery selling well I am excited for what the future brings, and no longer feel anxious about what could happen, (or not happen..) For the first time in my life- I feel ambitious.

Anyway- it was amazing having a Saturday off for the first time in toooooo long today. Retail kind of kills weekends. Me and my mum spent a nice afternoon shopping in Reading. I ended up on a bit of a raid so will hopefully be posting my haul tomorrow. This is what I wore. My cat Barney was having a 'tree climbing situation' during..!

Buy it:
Bag- £29.99 New Look
Chelsea Boots- £29.99 New Look
Mac Coat- £20 Primark
Orange Tee- £8.99 New Look
Skirt- Sale F&F
Dream Catcher Necklace- £2.95 Forever21

My mum (who has been amazing enough moving my room around and letting me live back home for a while, rent free) treated me to getting my nails done as a congratulations on my new job. I love my new claws - and with all the manual work I do I have literally given up on painting my nails as they get ruined in a matter of a day. I have tried so many top coats, most recently the Sally Hansen Insta-dry Anti-chip top coat - £5.99. None seem to cut it enough for me, on a budget anyway. This Sally Hansen one is great for impatient people like myself and does leave nails touch dry in a matter of seconds, but as a top coat I still wouldn't rate it more than a 7.

I'm having a Pink moment right now- I adore this China Glaze colour. It perfectly matches my jumper that I bought today.

New Bomber Jacket OOTD

This is my beloved new bomber.

And you might not guess where it's from ... Primark!
What a steal, £15.

I got a larger size because I wanted it to appear oversized and hang well, I love the Sports Luxe trend and although some of the 90's come back fashion makes me sick, these are one piece I agree with! I think the delicate Japanese illustration tones it down and makes it more feminine too.

They had some really nice Silky high waist shorts that matched really well too, but I was sensible and left them behind! I love the sleeves rolled up and am wearing it with a Cameo Rose blouse here, and my new high tops from New Looks 915 section!

This bomber will be perfect for these 'can't make its mind up' weather days.

New Accessories

I have wanted an oversized White envelope clutch bag for a while, and this was mine the second I saw it. It was just £6 from Primark, along with this Pastel chain necklace from there for £5. I have styled them together on a few nights out. I love summer Whites.

Can you see me?!

Me and my two close friends have been crazy with our Final Major Project work, I helped my friend Caroline out this week for her Trend Forecasting website. Here's one of the looks below! It took a few hours to paint me, mind!

Summer Sandals

And since my last post, I have worn my sandals out a few times. They are SO comfy, it makes me wonder why I wear boots a lot of the time!

Location Shoot

At the beginning of this week I went ahead with my Jungle Gym Location shoot for 'Pins' despite the weather... Luckily, we pulled it off even though the weather was horrific. The rain suited the shoot and we ended up having a laugh! Here's a couple of images from the shoot, thanks to my make up artist Vicky for the gorgeous Dewy look, and lovely model, Anna, for coming out in the rain!!! Also a big thanks to my friend Caroline for holding the brollies!

Here's the make up and hair (before we left and got drenched)

This Thursday I will be doing my Kitsch trend shoot at the docks, so will update with more images soon!

Photo Editing && New Outfits && Hair

Location Shoot Plan and New Hair!

I've been so busy the last few weeks! I've been offered lots of hours at work, which means I have been getting slightly behind on uni work and have meanwhile been planning my location shoot for my Final Major Project for the last few weeks!
I have two beautiful new models lined up and hopefully a make up artist, with the same trends as before- 'Tide of kitsch' and 'Jungle Gym'.
I plan to shoot one model at Southampton docks, this below was a test (bad quality as my phone camera..) with my friend Ellen to see the best angle! Obviously I will use my SLR and hope the weather is better so the lighting is improved! I plan to shoot the other model in the park in front of the palm trees which works perfectly for my Jungle themed trend.

These are the outfits as planned below! I love these formal joggers (£35) from Topshop, most probably going on my birthday wish list!... Only three weeks until I'm 22 :o

I have needed to update my Spring Summer wardrobe, with the excuse that I need work clothes, and 2 of my favourite pairs of 'wear all the time' shoes have fallen apart in the last week! So I had a slight splurge in town yesterday.... So I will be posting new outfits in the next few weeks :)

My fave buys have to be these New Look glad sandals, only £10 with my discount... They are ridiculously comfy!

OOTD

This is me before my evening/ night shift at work yesterday. I am wearing my comfy oversized ASOS boyfriend Tee, New Look Blazer and New Look Tall leggings (VERY good quality!) I am also wearing my Vintage Lilac bag that I found in a charity shop a while back. To jazz it up a bit while the store was still open I wore my thick link Gold Chain Necklace from Primark.

New Hairrrr

So I took the plunge, as well as getting my roots done I also had some bleach strips put in my under layers in order to put in some pastel tones! Couldn't be happier and would recommend Justice For Hair in Southampton's Bedford Place to everyone! My hairdresser Rosie is so lovely.

Above is an insta shot when I got back from the salon.

Pulling a silly faceeee.

I'm so happy with it! It is a lilac ashy colour and still quite subtle, and I want to add in some Rose bleach as well onto the ends so the curls change colours!

'You're from the 70's, but I'm a 90's bitch'

OOTN

Hey lovelies!

This is my outfit from a few nights back!
I absolutely adore this new top, the shape and style is so retro and the glitter makes it even better! Total bargain and such a find for Primark I think. I topped it off with this new Gold Chain necklace, in the New Look sale for a bargain £2.25 to compliment my shoes. I wore it with my H&M Leather look pencil skirt- which I have been getting so many compliments on! I got it way back before Christmas and have only just started wearing it again. They do have a similar one back in stock here though for £14.99.

Sorry for the fuzzy selfie! :(

Top - £8.00 Primark
Skirt - H&M Old Season
Bag - £6.00 Primark
Necklace - £2.25 New Look

You MAY notice- the shoes - are- new... this wasn't my fault this time as my lovely mum treated me when I was home! They look really great with tanned pins, my natural tan seems to be sadly fading now :( Back to the bottle! I love these 'barely there' sandal heels, with the low thin stiletto heel but the truth is I just can't walk in them, and I really don't know how some of you girls do! But you do it amazingly. But these are a little more 'Beckyfied' with a thicker heel and thicker ankle strap!

Who else is loving the pastel toned hair at the moment? I didn't want to do anything permanent and have seen wash out chalks in places like Topshop but couldn't afford to spend too much, but then I cam a colour. You can't see to clearly from the photos as I wanted the colour quite subtle but these are such an amazing idea! And soooo cheap!

This is just a quick snap of my nails too! I love the dark colour palettes creeping back in to Autumn, and found this gorgeous shade called 'Moonlight' in H&M for £2.99. It catches the light so nicely. Then I sprinkled loads of fun things on out of boredom! Cute.

Got My Glads On

OOTD

This again, is my work outfit for the day! Although, not really New Look .. Shhh! These are my gorgeous new shoes, yeah yeah I have a shoe addiction... They were a bargain £13 in the sale and are new in! I saw them in Marie Claire last week and 'fell instantly'

I love slouchy boyfriend tees at the moment, they make such a statement hanging over peg leg skinny trousers, or with longer skirts and are super duper comfy. I have belted mine in with this woven Primark belt- £1!

H&M Basic Top - £3.99
Topshop Floral Front Buttoned Skirt - Old Season

Unfortunately the heels will have to stay at home today as I have a long shift at work and my feet won't cope! Also apologies for the rushed pictures again- always in a rush for work and don't want to pester my hosuemate!

Buys Of The Week

Student loans in... that means one thing to most students... that I was cheeky and went shopping (EVEN though I didn't spend much and got a few bargains I still feel guilty- and need to start looking for a job over summer! - Topshop please, TAKE ME NOW!)

So here are my buys from this week

TOP BUY!

River Island - RRP £65. I bagged them for £12!

I was surprised to even see these beauts in the sale, and being cheeky one of the zips is a teeny bit dodgy so I asked for further discount! I have worn them to uni and they are so comfy- so I know on a night out they will do me just as well! I have wanted cut out boots with buckle details for ages- and these will be great for summer as well as the chilly weather at the mo.

I picked up the following in London...

I love these- and have seen so many more expensive!

£1.50 Primark

The dangle cross ring below and gold indented one were in a set of five rings from Primark. These are my favourites as well as a silver one with a wing on- and the set was only £2.50. I had previously bought them but bashed them around so a few broke :(

The triangular pastel ring was in the Miss Selfridge sale a few days ago, and with student discount I got it for £2.80 - DIG GIRLS!

I lost my beloved U/O Blue checkered scarf so needed a 'wear with everything' replacement.

Skirt - H&M

Skull Print Scarf £3 Primark

Thanks for reading! xxx
