OOTD

So.. this is a few quick snaps of my library outfits over the last few days! The library not being the most exciting place to dress for- I go quite casual..

Today I basically managed to just about finish everything for my Ted Baker Buying and Merchandising report, and tomorrow I just need to do my references and hand it in!

I am going out with my friend Caroline tomorrow night- who handed her work in last week- I am a little too excited! (Since I have hardly touched a drop of alcohol since my birthday night out last month! :o Pretty impressive for me!)

Library look 1 'Borrowed from the boyfriend'

Necklace - Urban Outfitters
Jumper - Primark
Top - Primark
Jeans - New Look
Bag - New Look
Pumps - Primark

I really love this casual laid back trend, I can never find jeans that are skinny enough for me. So I've gone the opposite way and invested in boyfriend jeans. I love them with this slouchy Grey top, and wooly Black jumper (As there's still a chill in the air)
It looks thrown together, and cute with my new 80's pumps!

Library look 2 'Gathered from the Sea'

Khaki Chain Detail Top - Primark
Long Vest - H&M
Ring - H&M

I really love loose sheer vests, over long vests, and I love the Gold chain neckline, and high neck on this shirt/blouse.

My new Claire's nail varnishes look cute with some shell addition to the ends, along with my new starfish ring!

H&M £2.99
MR STARFISHHHH

It looks so sweet wrapped around my finger!
Nawww

70's Eye Make Up

Reading my monthly Elle, I am not often inspired to try new make up trends.... I like sticking to my good old eye liner, and just go bolder with lipstick and illuminator. But this trend really stuck out to me. I don't really 'do' eyeshadow often. But a slick of thin coloured eyeliner underneath the eye seemed like a cute thing to try. I went minimal on top with just a thin slick of liquid eyeliner, and used an Emerald Green Kohl Pencil (Avon) underneath my eye, and blended it into a Barry M light Blue eyeliner which started in the inner corner of my eye. Never use dark shades on the inner corner of your eye as this does no favours in the illusion of wider eyes!

I have stuck to the rule, that Greens make Brown eyes 'pop' more

You will also notice, I am now wearing a nose ring... I have never been a fan really, but got a few in the nose stud packets I got in the Claire's Portsmouth outlet, and was curious as to what they would look like. Turns out- I'm a fan! I have always just worn a small plain silver 'ball' stud, which is delicate, but this is a whole new look :)

(Very) late birthday girly weekend

Weekly Update

1 Graduate Fashion Show

2   OOTD - Thursday Evening

3   Weekend Away, Outlet Shopping and Best Buys

1   On a Quick Note...

Me and two course friends helped out as Front Of  House at the Southampton Solent Graduate Fashion Show on Wednesday 22nd, sponsored by Capital and Illamasqua. We were pampered by make up artists before showing guests in, and getting to watch the show. (Credits to the students, having us sat there for four hours)

2    Thursday evenings outfit

My flat mate came back a few nights ago to pick up her stuff to go home for Summer, so we went to the SU for the quiz one night before she left :( !

Scarf - Primark
Watch - Michael Kors
Leather Jacket - New Look

3   This weekend I have been away with my mum!

Since my birthday my mum had wanted to take me away for the weekend and spoil me but we've both been chocka busy until now. I have my wonderful mum to thank for a lovely weekend and some good retail therapy!

We went down to Chichester on Friday, went shopping and had dinner before a pampering eve in the hotel room. Then yesterday, we had a lovely breakfast and went to the beach at West Wittering, it was so warm and sunny and I'm so happy it changed over night like that. After being at the beach for a few hours, we drove to Portsmouth and did some shopping in the outlet. We then walked into the town centre.

We are going to Turkey in five weeks so the aim of the day was to really find holiday bits!

Here's my beauty buys...

The bottom bits, including the ring, toe rings, earrings and nose studs and eyelashes were from the Claires's outlet at Portsmouth Gun Wharf. They were offering 10 items for £10 on everything in store for the day only, what a bargain! The other bits were from high street stores.

For two days only Claire's were offering all nail polishes for £1! Inluding a variety of neons and pastels, and this new in Leather look polish which has a bobbly leather like texture. I can't wait to use it.

For £1 I couldn't turn away these eyelashes as I'm sure they'll look great for fancy dress one day and are so detailed.

So these toe rings were included in the 10 for 10 (Still can't get over that) which will look gorgeous with my new anklet from New Look (£3.99)
These ice cream pastel colours will look great alternated on holiday with tanned skin as well.

''She sells sea shells on the sea shore''

I love nail art, as my regular blog readers will have noticed! I spotted this Pastel Shell manicure set in Claire's, remembering they offer student discount. They are normally five pounds. You cover your painted nail in these shell pieces- such a pretty effect.

This is the effect on one of my nails. Gorgeous, and so quick and easy.

..... ''More shoes''.... ?!

Well, everytime I see dirty dancing I do wish for these pumps seen on Baby... Well guess what I've finally found DEAD similar in Primark !? It'd be rude not too....

My mum informed me that they cost just £1 from Woolworths in the 80's!

I have been eyeing these wedges up for ages in Primark, my friend got them a while back... They were reduced to £12 and are amaaaazeballs.

I needed some new flats for work, and these were on my New Look wish list. They do them in beige and black, but white are so smart and I love smaller aspects of monochrome.

Lastly... Clothes!

H&M White Blouse £14.99

Primark Tie Die String Bikini £4

I love this tie dye print- an absolute bargain again at £4 for the set from Primark.

My mum also treated me to some Whittard's. At the outlet they were offering buy one, get one half price. So I couldn't say no since the White Hot chocolate is to die for. Try the Pear And Guava Tea cold for a refreshing Summery drink!

Here's a shot of the beach on Saturday!

And to top off my weekend, when I got back in Southampton today I got my monthly Elle to read and my freebie mascara, wooppeeee
