Photoshoot and New Hair Doooo

My Final Major Project Photo shoot and Some Spring Hairspiration

For ages now I have needed something a little different. I love being Blonder but feel it's a bit tame for me... So I've finally booked in to my salon to have some White strips in my under layers in order to put some Pastel Violet and Rose Pinks streaks in. I have tried Bleach London products which are now available on Boots.com, but my hair is not light enough for them to be a true enough colour! I am very excited!!! This is how I would loveeee it to look! Alternatively I would have loved a pale Violet wash all over but my hair is quite damaged :(

I'll hopefully achieve this look by using Bleach colours:

They are £5 each on the Boots website, and they are currently on offer in the 3 for 2 so I will be getting these today.

This Is A Little Preview Of The Shots I Got For My SS15 Collection
for my Final Major Project. I am creating a new more trend focused brand aimed at a younger market for tall women and teenagers, like myself!

My two trends are Jungle Gym, and Tide of Kitsch.

The first takes Sports Luxe influence further by combining Jungle themed patterns and prints for party and smart wear, and the other trend takes 1950's kitsch influences such as nautical and fruit prints, combined with pastels and neon palettes.

My two models were amazing, the lighting worked perfectly and I am really happy with the final shots! All thanks to my Make up artist, Alda, models Hannah and Jenna and assistants Caroline and Ellen.

Spring Summer buys and Trend forecasts

Hellowww!

This firstly, is my new TOPSHOP lipstick - £8. I tried one exactly the same by MAC, and then saw this after and took a chance. I get so many comments on the colour 'depth', as it's so striking. It's quite daring but I hope I pull it off! I use Lipcote- one of my favourite products so that it lasts. The colour stays on for hours. The only issue is it does dry out your lips as it's a darker shade.

I love working for New Look, there Spring Summer collections are really suprising me, I cannot stop buying! I recently went to Cornwall with my mum for a short break (Whilst the weather there was crazy!) Whilst we were there, we of course had a shopping day in a nearby town... I got these Faux Leather Court Stilettos below, for a bargain £5!

I also got some amazing Brogues for £5. Brogues are a big trend leading in to summer, adding a masculine element and 'formalling' up an outfit. They are so comfy too!

Big Daisy Cut Out Neck Dress- £25 AX Paris

I love the cute and kitsch daisy prints at the moment, and fell in love with this dress, and the shape is very flattering. The puff sleeves equal out my figure a bit more and there are small cut outs at the top- another key detail for the season.

I have been on the look out for my dream shoes for a while... And I happened to pop in to Primark the other day. I don't shop there too often anymore. I use my discount in New Look too much and have had to watch my spending since there's now only 3 months left of uni! :o

Anyway- I came across these. And sometimes, it's just fate as there were only about 3 sizes, one being a 6. I couldn't leave them there it would have been unforgivable. I love the buckles and side cut out, and they are shockingly comfy!

I have been working on a lot of trend research for Spring Summer 2015, when I would supposedly be launching my range for my new brand that I am creating for my Final Major Project. Here's some inspirational images for the fore coming seasons, and some images from the PURE London fashion forecasting exhibition from February for A/W 14.

Here are some key forecasting notes I took from the day, including the WGSN talk:

Plaids and Gingham prints are here to stay, but will be getting a neon overhaul.

Denim skinnies may finally have had their day as boyfriend and MOM styles grow on the highstreet.

Cut outs and metalwork heighten, as well as details such as tied waists and elastications. Pleats and odd clashing textures increase. Painterly prints and Kitsch styles are on the increase, with quirky styling seen at LFW. Transparent and mesh details grow. Sports Luxe trends further, with blocking and panelling seen often, as well as Ethnic and Tribal influences. Painterly prints with Primary colour palettes influence designers as well as literal abstract patterns. Pastels return with candy stripe sickly sweet presence.

The bomber is a key piece, as well as sleeveless jackets and wearable Macs.

What I Wore

So now I'm back at uni...

It's time to go out again- before all the hard work begins, anyway! I have been really excited for my last freshers weeks, and haven't caught the flu yet luckily!!! We went to the UV rave at Oceana on Tuesday night with Zane Low. We atleast had neon nails :)

A Good Catch Up

Time we caught up!

I've been away for a while, sorry! As soon as I got back from holiday, which I was also delayed back from, I was thrown into London life and 7am commutes for two weeks for my internship at EDITD! I thoroughly enjoyed it and met some lovely people working there, and will be returning part time when I know more about my university hours.

I'm actually extremely relieved to be back at uni! I've had the best lay in today.. I forgot how lucky I was before to be at university and not working full time, and am going to make the most of it for third year.

Here's a few holiday snaps! We had a brilliant time and really didn't want to come back. The beaches were stunning, and we did the Mallorca Rocks boat party and went to see 'Pirates reloaded' which was such an amazing night! If anyone goes to Mallorca, that is a must do- we highly rate it!

Camping & Majorca Prep!

I can't belieeeve it's September.

Anyone else feel like the year has been stolen away from them?!

I suppose I'm a lucky one, I'm going on a last min holiday to Majorca, 'Mallorca Rocks' on Saturday with my friend Caroline for a week. Super excited as we booked it last minute through Teletext!

I had a lovely mini holiday with my dad and some friends in The New Forest a few weeks back, here's my first day camping outfit, looking a little tidier than when we left! It's beautiful there and only about a half hour drive from Southampton.

I have bought a few little bits lately on my discount as I've been saving, including this gorgeous short black kimono from New Look with my discount. It looks really cool dressed with jeans or shorts as so in the day, but I am looking forward to wearing it in the evenings on holiday too. As well as customers noticing, I have also seen an exact same version in Topshop for around twice the price! Grab it while you can...

I am also getting really excited for my last Freshers after I'm back from my internship at the end of September, as I'll be able to go to all the best nights now seen as I've been saving a little! I have also bought these skinny jeans, I love the wash and fit and think they'll be super comfy at work in the coming Autumn months. I am not a big jean lover but am determined to start being..surviving in tights may not work much longer now the winters drop so much!

I have for ages been searching for an affordable tote, big enough to hold all my tons of bag rubbish, that is plain enough to match all outfits. And I finally found it! In Zara, for £19.99! They are selling fast so get yours quick if you love it like I do!

I've been really struggling to find bikinis

as retailers are so set on getting in their Autumn and Winter wear so early! I don't blame them, but it makes it harder for us who still have late holidays. I scouted around, and managed to bag this cool high waisted black bikini from New Look, and also scouted ASOS and found this gorgeous Red bikini. I do find it trickier having a bigger 'chest' finding pretty bikinis, they tend to be very boring without pattern! There is definitely a bit of a gap in the market for affordable fashionable bikinis for girls with bigger boobies!
